Laguna Catemaco

This is one of my favorite places in Mexico and not all that touristic (maybe that's why it's one of my favorites). Hire a 'lancha' (that's Spanish for boat), pay a maximum price of 1000 pesos and enjoy a beautiful boat trip through the mangroves topped off with juicy views of the distant mountains mirroring in the water. The last stop is a peninsula called "La Barra" where they have delicious seafood. I totally recommend the ceviche!
